"Traumland" is the latest album from Minneapolis power electronics artist Anthony Amelang. As one half of the militant PE unit Controlled Opposition, AA helps to craft a punishing but unusual style for which their mixed messages of activism and conspiracy can shine. Here however, we find AA looking inward and creating an introspective and intense vision of industrial power electronics with enough variation to be interesting, but still classically dense and harrowing. Following releases on Phage Tapes and Chryptus Records, as well as an upcoming album on Damien Records, we here at NC/NH are excited to release and transmit this landscape of dignity and sorrow from within the firing synapse of electrons.
